All of the children have had shots this week. The boys went in on Tuesday, and the girls went in today. The nurses told the girls that girls are tougher than boys. Claire asked if she could cry, and the nurses and I told her it was O.K. to cry. Emily went first and was a champ. Then Claire, who has been dreading the shots since Thursday. She cried for a little bit and then stopped.
The boys got the flu mist, and the girls got flu shots (the girls have to go back in 30 days and get a booster - I haven't told them this). The boys did just fine, they got the flu mist and then a hepatitis A shot. The girls got their flu shots and then their boosters for hepatitis A. When they put bandaids on the girls, Emily said that now the boys would know where to hit her. She has since removed the target from her arms.
